Position Summary
BNS is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist I to support our warehouse operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect shipments for accuracy and damage and report discrepancies.
- Unload, organize, and stage incoming materials.
- Label, sort, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, palletizing, and documentation.
- Coordinate shipments with carriers while ensuring proper documentation is completed.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions within inventory management systems.
- Assist with inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation activities.
General Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (training or certification provided if required).
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or logistics experience preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Physical Essential Job Functions
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach above shoulder level, and twist while handling materials.
- Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements, including grasping, sorting, scanning, and packaging items.
- Ability to climb ladders or step stools as needed to access inventory.
- Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment (if certified or trained).
- Ability to work in varying warehouse environments, including fluctuating temperatures, dust, and moderate noise levels.
- Sufficient visual acuity to read labels, packing slips, inventory documents, and computer screens.
- Sufficient hearing and communication ability to safely work around equipment and interact with team members.
